Community Collaborations

In the fall of 2025, an agreement was signed by the Foundation board and benefactors of Greenwood Cemetery, owned by the City of Clarksville.

These benefactors established a Designated Fund within the Clarksville Community Foundation to hold gifts that are only restricted by purpose, and that purpose is to create a long-term, or perpetual fund that is difficult for a municipality to create and administer.  More than $30,000 was raised in the first effort, and additional funds are pending that may double the assets under investment.  The intent is to create a Fund of at least $600,000.

In the spring of 2026, an agreement was signed by the Foundation board and the board of the Clarksville Museum, Inc., which owns and operates the Clarksville Library and Museum.

A Designated Fund was created within the Clarksville Community Foundation to hold gifts that are only restricted by purpose, and that purpose is to create a long term, or perpetual fund that will eventually generate annual distributions for the care, operation, and maintenance of the Library and the programs of the Museum.  The first $20,000 gift was made in honor of John and Marge Gray, and annual educational displays within the Library will note the support received from the Gray family to remember them.
